Hi everyone,
I just bougth a used s2000 and I just start reading information from this forum. I found out that the most common problem on the s2000 is valve bend problem due to over rev. This concern me because I dont know how my car been treat by the previous owner.
Is there a way I could check for this problem?
How do I know my valve is sliping?
What do kind of test do I need to do to make sure my car is in a good condition?
Sorry if this is a repeated question.
Thanks,

Moving to the main part of UTH.
ps. Valve don't "slip". If you mechanically over-rev an engine, you can have a bent valve, damaged valve stem, damaged piston top. If it's bent badly enough, it won't hold compression, so do a leak down test. If it's really bad, most likely a CEL will result. If you've nicked the piston top, you'd have to "look" at it with a fiber optic camera through the spark plug hole.
