Default How do I install new spark donuts in vc?

I thought the old ones came out so hard due to high mileage but it looks like it's just a really tight fit. I just finished valve adjustment and have the gasket set for the valve cover. The VC gasket was leaking very bad anyway.
I just want to get it back together and go to bed

I think he might be referring to the seals that are on the VC that go around the area where the coilpack-to-sparkplug tube goes....not sure though...

The longer you leave them in, the harder they are to remove. I swap mine every 30K in all of my hondas. I use a small screw driver to pry them out. Be careful not to scratch the sealing surface. I pulled some out of a honda at 100+K and it was much harder.

Hi
thanks for the info.
I took the old ones out and wanted to know if there were any specific ways people recommended to pop the new ones in. I was surprised by how tight a fit the new ones were...

I wound up just pressing down really hard on opposite edges with the top of a hammer. I didn't know if there were any better ways out there.

Thanks

I use a blunt punch to make sure that they are fully seated. Kind of in a star pattern like tightening lug nuts.
