Default how can you reconise a F20C engine?

hey, im owner of a s2k AP1 (year 2000) sinds 4 weeks now and was looking on some websites for parts and stuff
and i encountered engine types like F20C, F22C and God knows what els.

i'd kindly appriciate if someone could tell me how i can
reconise what engine type i got, and what engine type would be the best to have.

Thanks in advance,

I think he wants to know how can you tell if its an F20C... All motors should have it stamped on the motor itself. I cant recall where the stamp is tho.. I believe is should be on the intake side...

The deck surface of the block by cylinder #1 F20C will be stamped and visible with the engine assembled.

The engine # is also on the VIN plate, close to the radiator cap (on my car)
So the 2 should be a match if its the original engine.

Find a safe place and give her, if it goes to 9000rpm f20c if only 8000rpm you prolly got a f22c swaped into it. The f22c came out on 2004 S2000's in North America, pretty sure in Europe it wasn't until 2006.
