How to bypass the heater core?
I am building a track car (or turning my s2000 into one). I am removing the heater core and all associated equipment, but I am not sure how to route the piping once it is gone. I was just going to connect the line before the valve to the pipe after the valve, but can I get rid of all the associated piping that carries the coolant over to the heater core valve? Are there any companies that make hoses that will bypass these lines? I have done some searching, but only came up with the following:
Dave's Discount Auto Bypass Hoses
It's hard to tell, without some sort of diagram, what hoses go where, etc.
Thanks Everyone,
Austin

Or just leave it in. If you remove it you'd only be saving a couple pounds, plus you can always crank the heater to help the engine run cooler.

Since I already have the dash and everything else out to have the rollcage installed, I was going to remove it. I actually pulled it yesterday, took 10 minutes, 8 of those were to drain some of the coolant so it wouldn't spill in the car.
I want to know if there is a hose that bypasses the aluminum piping that flows coolant from the Driver's side of the engine bay to the passenger's side, where it enters the heater core. If you look on the firewall, you will see two aluminum pipes, these are only to flow coolant to the heater core. I have a u-pipe hooked up, but if I can remove the aluminum pipes, that would be even better!
It looks like the last hose on the page of the link I posted may be the hose I'm looking for. I just wanted to see if anyone else had done a similar thing, and what they used.
Thanks again!
P.S. the Heater core, vent tubing in the dash, blower motor, etc. all weighs at least 40 lbs. And if you add in the AC compressor, condenser, pipes, and brackets, you're looking at another 30 lbs, some of which is not between the axles! It was worth it to me since I am already taking it all apart anyway.
