The difference between them is big. I think it weights 1/3 of the OEM

haha, okay, you are right.
PEOPLE, TAKE THE SPRINGS OFF BEFORE YOU SLAP ON YOUR NEW CF TRUNKS!

but i would like to point out one thing.
my first trunk, i took springs outta my car even before i touched it.
it came out like 1/2 incjes both sided.
it was custom made, and it was made wrong to begin with.
(i won't tell who made it, but a lot of s2ki.com people already know who it is.)

second one, did the same, then later i put the springs on just to see what happens.
it was fine. no flex, no bow, no pop-ups.

third one, i just threw it on with out taking the springs out.
it was fine.
perfect fit, no popping out, no flexes.

so i dunno.
may be it's the trunk, maybe it's the springs.
we'll see what Pharrel will say after he takes the springs out.
I hear ya. Weird. I dont know either.
Your third trunk fit perfect without removing the springs? That would be the trunk to get. Do any of them have the key hole cut out and work with OEM key latch?
I am just going off of my experience and my friends experiences. Seung can you PM me with who you were talking about. I think I know who it is but just want to be sure.
Thanks!

in my experience, you dont HAVE to remove the springs to get it to line up, but it does make much easier.

hey j'sap1! guys i'm the one with the mastergrade trunk and I also believe that if I had taken the springs off from the beginning fittment would be better.

I don't think its too bad right now there's a little gap on the top left corner but I guess because my car's black that it's not too noticeable from far.
