how accurate is the stock guage cluster?

Basically, I fail to see what you're trying to accomplish. If you are only interested in creating a different look for the S, then have at it, i'm sure you'll succeed (whether or not anyone is interested in actually purchasing it is another thing).

If you're doing this because the digital tach is behind the true rpms at redline, you're chasing down a solution to a mostly nonexistant problem. If you know the tach lags the rpms by 1-200 at redline, account for that in your shifting style and/or shiftlight set point. throwing hundreds, if not thousands of dollars at such an easily resolved problem seems gratuitous, at best.

The only thing I'd consider replacing my cluster for would be a Stack Stack Stack setup.
