horsepower rating
how does the Japan horsepower rating compare to our rating?
is it a 1:1 ratio?
i believe their system of measure uses the letters "PS" while ours is "HP".
for example:
-if a car in Japan is rated at 267ps does it have 267hp in the US?
if anyone anyone could shed some light on this I would appreciate it.

267 PS = 263.3475 hp
JDM's have 7 more hp due to the higher pressure in the engine. I've been told thats because it has a thinner Head gasket. Can any one confirm that?
