The article probably quoted peak hp and torque, which did not occur at the same rpm so irrelevant to this inane discussion.

We covered this already, but as long as you are using hp, ft-lb and rpm as scales, it works for anything that rotates. electric motor, bicycle crank, waterwheel, windmill, spinning a pencil between your fingers.
