uuuhhmm yeah, thats going to be pretty hard to internet diagnose without
A) Soundclip or
B) a more accurate description

Things that come to mind when people say enginge tick - timing chain tensioner or rod knock.

for the tct there are more then enough threads for you to diagnose if thats it, and there are several threads about a rod knock also, even with soundclip.
good luck

This Might be way off, but My 1990 honda accord had a "knocking sound" when I revved it and was climbing big hills. Turns out the timing was off by 15 degrees. The timing belt was off by two "teeth". Had to fix that, then get it just right at the distributer.

Don't know if this is your problem. But I thaught I'd just post it.

Does it sound something like this?

If so, do a search on "Timing Chain Tensioner".

I have a similar sound that is not the timing chain tensioner, the shop is investigating more today and i will let you know what they find to give you another possibility.

if it sounds like someone threw some dice in a glass cup and shaking it, then you have broken something or other in the engine.
