have you ever peeked into your injector ports? when i had misfire problems, everything was fixed when i replaced the injectors + cleaned the injector ports. the injector ports were full of gunked up carbon (looked like wet espresso grounds).

i wonder what are the chances that your cleaner somehow washed away enough crap from your intake manifold that the car ran better for a short while. anyway, try cleaning the fuel injector ports to see if that helps. if you don't want to replace the injectors, try soaking them in kerrosene over night?

btw, since it sounds like you have an obd2 scanner, what's your long term fuel trim number?
I'll pull the injectors out this evening and take a look. As for the fuel trim numbers, i havent looked at any data info while i had the scanner hooked up yet. I was going to do that today as well. I'll keep you posted. I appreciate the help/suggestions from everyone!

Also maybe try to clean your IAC valve which can cause these symptoms (although not under load). Maybe map whack (or replace Map sensor) too. I had similar problems with mine and turned out to be improperly gapped plugs (the gaps had widened over time). I also suggest checking out your TPS. HTH

are you sure it's only one coil? you said you were getting random misfires...

So far, the new coil packs seem to be doing the trick. No misfires during their first 3 or 4 short trips (total of ~15 miles and 30 min, with no ECM resets and several minutes idling).

Side note - as expected, I ordered P/N 30520-PNA-007 but received P/N 30520-RRA-007.
