Default Hood Supports

Yesterday I installed a set of Tein bonnet supports. I like them and the install was pretty strait forward, but is there a trick to removing the OEM hood support? I don't want to break anything.

I just left mine on, but you should be able to twist and wiggle the prop-rod out of its hole. Just go slow and watch exactly what you're doing.

Yeah you can just wiggle and twist it a bit, and it'll come out from the hole...

So to add to this.....

How do you put the hoodprop in the show mode where the hood is almost strait up?

The pics I have seen seem to locate the prop rod on the right side of the car. Is there a hole that I am missing on the body?
