those are interesting reads. i think i am still going to replace it the way it came from honda though. thanks for the links

a few of my clips were ripped out of the seal so its kinda just dangling there. not sure how it happened. it was like that when i bought the car

finally received my new hood seal today. indeed it came with the clips in the seal.
