I notice a lot of heat soak with the S/C in socal. With the EMS I pull 1.75 degrees timing at 122F and a good 5 degrees at 150F. It's quite often that I get in the 110-120F range where it pulls timing when sitting at a red light or letting things idle for a bit.
It's the next mod I have planned as I'm tired of sacrificing power from heat soak. Just haven't done it as I figure if I'm doing that I might as well do the head work at the same time. And just haven't had the time to do it all.
I know another socal member with an S/C has it installed and hasn't had any issues.

Don't think it will fix all your problems with the s/c. A water mist for an air-air intercooler or a larger reserviour if it's a water unit would be good. If you don't have one at all, spend your money on that, first.

Just remember that Todd can do it in 4 hours or less, but from most other reports, first-timers (professionally paid mechanics) take longer. From 5-7 hours.
We tried to tackle this job ourselves (3 friends+me), and it became a 2-day job. My car remained in pieces overnight, where I had to stay over at my friends' house unexpectedly, and finished the job the next morning.
The local Acura quoted me $450 to do the job!!
I almost flew Todd out to do the install.

$210 is a good price for labor on this mod, especially considering Marcucci is on the smart end of the wrench.
If you're considering doing a thermostat, rad cap, fan switch combo, this would be a good time to do it as well, since the t'stat is relatively easy to access with the IM off.

We have Honda dealers here in Dallas charging $100/hr for shop time. Most tuner shops charge $70+ an hour. I can charge what I am now because my overhead is almost nothing, I am basically charging for my time.
