hondata chip
I am wanting to check out a my06 with some sort of hondata chip installed. wondering what problems to look for. will i be able to tell of any problems with idling and test drive? if so what?

There is no chip, you have a Hondata Flashpro re-flash of the ECU.
It's a great mod don't be discouraged. Make sure the CEL (check engine light) is in place and working, and that the monitors have completed.
Turn key on, CEL will go on, then off. Continue to keep watching the light for another 30-40 seconds. If it starts flashing, then the monitors have not completed, and a CEL problem can still surface.

Thanks for the info....I was about to pass on the car but I guess I'll go check it out tomorrow.
It is a mid western car with 60k and the hondata thing and ingen cold air intake AND a factory hardtop. $19000. I guess I got to go look at it.
