Default Hondabond question

I just got the new tailshaft housing, and I'm going to slap it on the car tomorrow and finally get my car running again. How long should I wait for the Hondabond to cure before I fill the transmission with oil again?

Some crappy pictures, things of note, the aluminum on this case is utter garbage, and I can see why it would crack where it did, as there are casting marks on the inner side, exactly where the old case cracked.

The tube will state to wait 30 mins after assembly, before you fill it with oil.

Use this bastard and make your life slightly easier.

Got er' done. Complete PITA, never wish that on anyone. It's doable with the transmission still in the car, but it's not fun, at all. By far, the hardest part of this job is getting the case to mate to the transmission, those damn dowel pins don't make it easy. It took me around 5 attempts to get the case seated the first time, to do the pre-load check. When I went to do final assembly with Honda bond, it took me 2 attempts, just had to adjust the oil gear a bit. Both times I got it on flush, I had to tap the flange with a rubber mallet, anyone reading this, make sure the gap is no more than 1/8" before trying to force the case to mate to the transmission, and never use the bolts to draw the case to the transmission. My pre-load was on the high side, but still within spec at 24 inch pounds max standard spec is 25.2 inch pounds.

Finally the car rides again, I was forgetting how to heel and toe downshift.

P.S. Praying to God to give you the strength and determination works, I highly recommend it before any difficult task.

Hondabond application is a success, no leaks so far.

My experience with these adhesives, if they are going to leak --- it'll be right after the application. No leak, you'll be good to go.
