The Honda S2000 engines lifetime is longer than Nissan 350Z engines?

Exactly! Reason why I prefised it with what I did. Though I can say..............I have 65K of daily/highway/couple auto-x and a track day/3 Dragon runs and numberous fun excersions and the engine SPRINGS to life every time I want it to. No engine issues to speak of.

I really don't think the engine will be the shortlived component of any Honda. I think the rest of the drivetrain components will fail at least once before the engine does.

On the issue of engine balance: there is primary & secondary balance. A straight six has perfect primary & secondary as well as a V12. All other engines need some help (usually in theform of balancer shafts which are turned by the crankshaft and spin on the opposite direction, or of course using a bigger flywheel in some cases - S2000 excluded of course).
I'm afraid I haven't read enough to be able to calculate the balance characteristics of 90 degree V6s... They're not much better than a 4-cylinder though.
