Any chance that it might be the same as one of the formulas used here in North America ?, since MTF2 isn't that old of a formula. Probably the same fluid with a different name ?. Interested to know more about it though.

Honda has the MTF 3 for some time now. Here is a photo from a recent MTF 3 Group Buy (25 liters) we did locally, in Greece. No worries using that one.

Thanks for posting the pic. Did European Honda owners go from MTF to MTF2 to MTF3 fluid ?. In North America the MTF2 was a fairly recent introduction and MTF was the previous version which it upgraded. I'm thinking MTF3 in Europe might be the same as MTF2 in North America, unless MTF3 has been a recently new formulation.

there is no mtf3 sold in North America technically speaking, so your's was MTF2, however I'm wondering if our MTF2 = European MTF3 ? .

First time I see it.
(doesn't mean that much as I've been using Amsoil MTF for a couple of years now)

A quick search produced some Dutch websites mentioning MTF 3, one in 2008, so I guess its not really new.

Would be interesting if someone could test North American MTF II vs Euro MTF III.

And to those of you changing your tranny fluid @ 30k... yikes. I'd recommend doing it every 7-10k for the best transmission health/feel. From what I've read, MTF II breaks down pretty quickly and is best replaced at least every 10k miles.

well looking at recommendations for the manual I think it's pretty safe to do it at 30k intervals....besides Honda overengineers everything so when they say 30k they know that you could get away with a lot more...I'm not sweating it as and far as I'm concern you loose that clean feel after a few k's anyway...that doesn't mean it just be dumped and changed

I would agree with this statement from my personal experience with the transmission. I can actually feel the point where the fluid starts to break down. And the uoas shows this as well, maybe this is the 'better economy' part.
