Forced Induction should not make a difference in what lube the tranny needs. Unless you are making beaucoup HP. In which case you may need a more heavy duty transmission & differential.
X2.
That being said,I use Redline MT-90,and Redline 75-140 in the diff;been using that for 16 years.
So your gearbox oil is straight up 90? How does the shift feel? Any noises? According to Honda their MTF should last a good 40 000kms. How long do you think an interval should be? Of course driving conditions and styles and level of tune varies from car to car but, ball park figure?

Maybe he just wants to sell you what he sells? If he even sells fluids.

More $$ for him?

Nah he's not selling fluids. He did sell me the original pilot bearing at a far lower price than the dealership would have. He also tried to get me Liqui Moly at a lower price than normal when I said I'm interested in it for the gearbox. He recommended Castrol Bot402 which is 75w-85 GL4 and is much cheaper than Liqui or genuine MTF

After 100k miles Honda MTF started shearing too quickly for me, so I started using gm synchromesh friction modified or amsoil MTF. Redline worked but seemed to make the shift action feel slower. There are quite a few MTF's that work for our car, but there definitely seems to be a personal taste among different owners. I recently had my transmission rebuilt and went back to Honda MTF and it's feeling great

Wow a 100k miles eh? U missed one or two service intervals there it seems It still held up for so long though. Impressive. Right now my car is getting MTF3 from Honda. The blue/white label. Seems even better than 2. You're right. there are various tastes and many types of MTF or usual GL4 oils that work for our cars. It's my first S2000 gearbox oil change so it's all new to me hehe. Looking forward to a super smooth shift action tomorrow

Yep. When in doubt, just use the Honda fluid.
