Honda Dealer
Alittle word to the wise. Before you take your S2000 in make sure there is a licensed mechanic there to work on it. The s2000 requires a completely separate license since its come out. Now, the funny part. I take my s2000 in with some loud clunking when i rev. Dealer has it three days, comes back with they need to break it down to discover the problem and that i will have to foot the bill for driver abuse. I declined, removed my car, took it to my uncles shop put it up on the hoist. Started the engine and discovered that the inner baffle in the Catalytic Converter had gone bad. Changed cat and problem solved. Just thought you'd enjoy that.

imagine if they had to tear apart your engine and transmission apart to "pinpoint" the noise, and then leave you with a nice bill.

Maybe specific "S2000" training but not a separate licence. A certified mechanic's ticket should be the same for anyone working on domestic cars. It's up to the dealer to provide any additional training when a specialized car comes along.
The problem with the S is that it's like no other Honda that has come along in decades. I'll be the first time a dedicated Honda tech sees an S, he wonders what that big tube is that goes down the center of the car.
