Default Honda 15400-plm-a01 oil filter

Is this a right filter for the s2000? Can I use it or better to order the Honda 15400-PCX-004??

The PLM filter is not recommended for the car, that's all I can tell you. I would find a way to get the PCX filter.

That happened to me too, the parts guys were insisting it was correct but I knew it was wrong. I ended up going to a different dealership and they brought it right out for me. It's kind of scarey to think about how dumb the parts guys are, I wonder what kind of intel the mechanics have.

It's no different than any other job. Some guys know what they're doing, others are complete morons.

That is true but it's weird that it happens all over the country. With the S2000 being in a class of it's own out of the honda line-up you think they'd know a thing or two, especially about an oil filter.

I guess I'm lucky...my dealership is awesome. Very intellegent guys, great service, great service department and manager...always helpful...appriciatve of the S2000.

i saw the thread where they compare all the oil filters for S awhile back and they concluded that PCX(japanese honda oil filter ) was ranked as best oil filter
so that explains the whole thing
