Keeping my pistons clean is not one of my top priorities. I prefer to keep them well lubricated. I'm not slamming Penzoil. I'm just saying the info in that ad is useless.

Just like the ad from Castrol Edge claiming better protection vs Mobil1.



Other oils and weights.

AMSOIL Series 2000 20W-50 Racing Oil leaves a 0.432 mm wear scar

Castrol Syntec 20W-50 leaves a 0.724 mm wear scar

Mobil 1 Extended Performance 15W-50 leaves a 0.825 mm wear scar

Royal Purple 20W-50 leaves a 0.852 mm wear scar

Shell Formula 20W-50 leaves a 1.752 mm wear scar

Quaker State peak Performance 20W-50 leaves a wear scar of 1.928 mm

technically no matter what oil you use there should be vertually no wear as long as its clean... the oil is not what couses the wear its the sedement found in the oil that does (right)?!?
