Keeps pistons cleaner up to 25% than Mobil 1!!
Up to 35% than valvoline with synpower
Up to 40% than Castrol edge with syntec!!!

This is heartbreaking as I'm using Castrol edge, but its the gold bottle though. The one in the pic is the older black bottle.

Last years advertising "news blurbs"

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-relea...166280746.html

Can always dig deeper into the tests to see what and how things were measured. Then you can see what they selected so they could make those claims.

Change your oil greater than recommended and you are way ahead keeping things clean. Mobil1 at WalMart is $25 for 5 quarts,

I never used Pennzoil, always used Mobil1 but am now using Amsoil oils. Although many might use oils like Valveoline, Pennzoil, and QuakerState, but I never liked those oils. Specially in these motors. I've read on here that Mobil1 causes some sort of issues, I know for BMW, they've decided that Mobil1 causes their timing chain plastic rails/guides to get brittle faster. Its all opinion, I'll stick to either Castrol or Amsoil.

I've used Castrol for 12 years now... seems to work just fine!
Had my motor torn down once (top end), looked pretty dam clean to me considering the mileage I have!

I now use Amsoil in most of my vehicles (I have 6---3 kids driving!) I'm an Amsoil "preferred customer" so I get the discount and I live about 10 miles from one of their major warehouses so I can pick it up there and save shipping if i want.

However, the Pennzoil Platinum is one of the top oils on the market according to the folks on the "Bob is the Oil Guy" website-- those folks debate UOA's like we do things S2000....it's the same price at Walmart as Mobile 1 and seems to be a much better oil. Havent researched the Ultra but it's probably an even better oil then PP.

Not interested in a debate about what brand everybody thinks is the best oil--- just passing along what the folks who are into oil like we're into S2000s have been reporting based on their UOAs....

I switched to Pennzoil Ultra on my last change, and so far after 4k miles, I'm only down to half way of the 2nd diamond from the top on the dipstick, which I believe is about less than a 1/4 of a quart. Going to run it out to 7k miles and then send it into Blackstone for a UOA.

It's an ad. Doesn't really mean anything. If you're wondering about it then try it and get some UOA's done. Same as always.

Well I work for an oil contracting company and the best oil you can get is shell our Chevron...strait oil of course not talking about synthetic....I trend to stay away from them bc they use quite a few chemicals to break down the crude to make it into finer (synthetic) oil... Just a random though.............squirrel
