HKS hi power exhaust on 06?
Hey everyone. Quick question does anyone have some pics of this exhaust on a ap2. Also will this exhaust bolt up to an 06 without modding it Ive heard some systems don't fit right. Thanks.

you have to make several adjustments for the 06+....u either gotta use stock hangers and play with adjustment..or u gotta bend the right hanger to make it sit flush..just installed mine i went with the bending of the hangar route.

ive got an 05 ap2... fit like a glove with no fitment problems... best exhaust i think hands down...
looks great... and i think sounds the best... good mid-range power...
u can also use the stock hangers or the HKS hangers they send with the exhaust... i used the stock hangars

For those of you who have installed it on your MY06- do you like the sound? Any clips? I have been dying to hear a clip where a driver is just driving normally and not just sitting in one place revving the crap out of the engine. This is fun, but not really accurate. I know the sound that comes out at this point is not representative of the sound one can expect to hear while driving around.

Hmm...
When you said you had to bend the hanger, are you referring to the hanger ON the exhaust, or the one attached to the body?
How could one bend a hanger w/o damaging the exhaust or the car?
I'm considering getting one myself, but just wanted to make sure if I could do the install myself.
I'd really appreciate your help.
Thanks

Well, personally, i wouldnt mess with anything ON the car itself lol....you would be bending the hangar on the exhaust. the first hook itself you would be bending upwards....i've a friend of mine who did not bend the hangar but played around with fitment and used STOCK hangars.....but the result is not as good as mine. Bending the hangar while using the hks hangars is the best way to go IMO. and as long as you do it right u will not damage anything. I ended up using a steel pipe bender and bent the first angle slightly upwards....maybe i can snap a few pics..but that will be on thurs when i remove my testpipe.
edit
as to answer the question about sound....it sounds GREAT...and imo the sound clips do not justify the greatness. lol...i am also running a test pipe....
