higher rear diff ratio

Default higher rear diff ratio

hi Guys
i was wondering if there is a longer gear ratio available for the rear diff as when im on the highway the engine is buzzing away at 4000+ rpm at just 90 km h
i have a 99 ap1

Yes. Search for puddymod. He is a sponsor and so far as I can tell he is the rear dif guru.

I believe you can still get 3.90 or 3.62 rear end gears. If you need more, go to a taller tire. I run taller tires front and back on my '06 S.

indeed i was looking at higher profile tyres for touring but thee is not much space under the arch
would you be so kind as to let me know the provider of the 3.62set?

It's best if you P/M @S2KPUDDYDAD. He can set you up with all the stuff you need. He's been doing rear ends for a few years now and I don't think I've read a negative post about him.

Oh yeah, if he (S2KPUDDYDAD) did bad work you would hear it here first and like I said I found none. His stuff is in all kinds of S's from stock to 800+ hp S2000.

I run the puddy mod stage 3 rear diff with a 3.9 final drive. I also run a 315/35/17 rear tire which is almost a 26 inch tall tire. I love the longer gears but I do have almost 600whp. I highly do not suggest this for an all motor car or any car under 500whp. The s2000 is slow enough when all motor. This mod would make the car even more gutless
