High Revs on Cold Start

Try resetting the ECU

Run 5w-30, or 0w-30 in the winter.

Mine jumps to around 2,200 initially at cold startup, then quickly decends toward idle.

mines around 2000-2500 on cold start in morning.. i was worried till i saw this post. it drops down once its at normal temp or im driving it

coldest it's been so far was -8 celsius. I started the car, revs were at 2500rpm for a couple of seconds and then dropped to 2k as usual

Meh, so reset the computer and see what it does!

Um has he tried that yet in the past 3 days? It takes minutes to do...
