Remove only the smooth pulleys, mask them off and sandblast the area where the belt rides. This will resurface them and make them like new. Done this to many cars with exellent results. Make sure the tensioner spring operates smoothly also.

So its the transmission belt?? Will this be covered under warranty??? If not how much?
