Default High pitched chirp when shifting hard

Guys i was wondering if you could shed some light on this for me. I have a 2002 s2000 with 9400 miles. Ive noticed a high pitched squeak or chirp when i am shifting hard. For example i get going from a stop i vtec in first, shift fast into second (popping off the clutch) as soon as i pop off the clutch i hear the squeak, this happens when i shift into third as well but does not happen when i shift into 4th. I know for sure that its not the tires. Any past experiences with this type of problem?? I dont want to take it to the dealer, cuz all they will tell me is "Dont do that."

That would be the tires .... 1-2 shift it's pretty common ... gets a little harder 2-3 ...

Just to make sure it isn't your tires, lower your tire pressure in the rear to 25 PSI and see if you can produce it on a grippy surface (course concrete).

The sound seems to be coming from the tranny, its very very high pitched, but then again i could be wrong. I hope it is the tires. Chicago owners are having a meet i'll see if i can take some of them for a ride to see whats wrong.

Unless there is a parakeet in you transmission, it is the tires.

I've never ever chirped tires going from 2nd to 3rd.
