Default Hicups at certain throttle postition

I know that topics similar to these have been started before but none that i searched for and read had any problems only at about...15% throttle. It dosen't matter what gear i'm in, in the lower gears it is more noticeable for obvious reasonos while in the higher gears i hear it almost as a backfire, But it always does it especially when i'm slowly accelerating.

It is almost like a bell curve. Where it happens the most around that throttle position but will happen a little, very little maybe one hicup, at throttle positions just outside of that.

I replaced my map sensor but no success there. I have an appointment at honda but what do you guys think?

Seems like everytime i start it up and go the problem gets worse and worse. That "bell curve" seems to be getting wider and wider.

the "hicups" seem like short bursts of machine gun fire that you can deffinitly hear and feel.

It could be the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) that is located on the Throttle Body.

You can check it with an ohm meter to make sure it has continuity as you move the throttle linkage through the full range ofl throttle positions.

I have this problem too, and I think it is the TPS. The TPS is a variable resister with a mechanical slider. I suspect that since most cruising is done at light throttle, and the throttle is always moving small amounts (with your foot), this area wears out quicker than the rest. The sucky thing is that I don't think the TPS can be replaced without replacing the whole throttle body.

Honda does not offer the TPS separately, only with the throttle body assembly.

I happen to have a throttle body if you need one.
