well i have the same or what i think is the same problem with my car as he does. i don't have the emanage i have the vafc. but i get the same like hesitation at certain throttle points. i belive its because my Vtec was dropped to 5300 in and 5200 out. but my car has not been dyno tuned yet. just lowered vtec. i think because of this is the reason i have the hesitation. since all i did was lower my vtec all my readings on and air fuel settings are the same. the same would apply for jow, if his car was either under tuned for his vtec settings it would give the same feeling mine would.

Fyre, Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong on the oil line setup, but...I believe the VTEC solenoid engagement is like a closed-end pipe. A valve will open to let in the oil pressure and engage the VTEC pin/cams, but since the "pipe" is not a loop, no pressure is lost to the VTEC system (like a 10' and a 20' garden hose...one is longer, but they still hold the same pressure). If that's truly the case, then accelerated wear is not an issue.

Bullet, Next time you need a screen shot, press the 'Print screen' key. Open up Microsoft Paint and press <ctrl>-V (or 'paste' in the edit menu). Voila, instant screen shot, no need for digital cameras taking crappy shots off of laptop LCDs.

Hmm that's a good point did he start with a new map or use the one that Jenner had in there? I never used the emanage so it wouldn't have my settings.

I always set up my car assuming that it only worked with the numbers (RPM range) that were present. Doing a map trace would really answer this, I can't recall what happens if your map starts at 3K RPM and you sit at idle. Does it trace to the first squares, or does it not show up on the screen at all. I don't recall. But I always went for safety. I modified my map's X axis to go to 9,500 RPM and carried the 9K settings onto that range to cover all my bases.

Bullet, how's that unplugging of the eManage and running on the stock ECU working out?

the trace will stay at cell 0,0 even if the actual value is lower than the settings.....
my map started at 1500 RPM and the car was idling.... Mr trace told me that I was at cell 0,0.....
