Default Hesitation after Dyno tune with greddy?

I had my car Dyno tuned, and installed a Greddy e manage yesterday. The Dyno looks great (first run 191hp...by the end of the day 207.8) . But the car doesnt feel very smooth. I am getting some hesitation around 4k rpm...They changed my spark plugs, and replaced them with some NGK plugs (the tunner said these plugs were 2degrees colder than stock? Could this be part of the problem. My car is NA (you can see the mods I have in my sig). If so what are the best plugs I can buy for my S.

Need Help!!!!!!!!

I would've gone with 1 step colder Denso Iridium IK24s J. Gernby's NA, in a similar climate, and loves them. I use them as well, and they've been great so far.

Kind of a bland response can anyone expand....my tunner said that the emanage has been known to have some trouble with the s2000 coils and maybe this could affect the way the colder plugs fire...???????????

no problems here with the emanage and IK24s. Check the gapping and possibly change your plugs if all the maps are correct.

Honestly it's impossible to help you with that description. What hesitation? Does it studder and then go? Does it seem to die? I seriously doubt it's a spark plug issue, more like a tuning issue.

Mine's been on for a week now. The first time I drove the car, It did not want to return to a normal idle speed. Which is common when you don't do the idle learn procedure. My E-manage is installed with a PnP harness, So I have to disconnect the PCM to attach the E-manage. After doing the idle learn, low speed engine operation returned to normal.

BTW, I am only using the Timing control and Boost cut at the moment. I am making no fuel corrections with the e-manage.

I would still suspect a tuning issue, What changes were made at the rpm's the "hesitation" occurs?

after further driving the car today I can now give a slightly more acurate description...it appears that when I am 50% or less on the throttle and I push the throttle to around 75% the car slightly stutters (a little popping from the exhaust and a big loss in power) and then it kind of pushes threw it and begins to accelerate....?????

I am so confused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too, following my E Manage install and tune with NGK plugs (mine really needed new
plugs since I was running so damn rich for so long, hence my 27hp gain with
the Greddy tune)...the exact same spec/model in fact. Same tuner, same shop (South
Florida Performance, which is generally regarded as one of the country's finest
Honda tuners and custom turbo manufacturers). I trust the shop owner entirely
but have also noticed a slight popping during throttle lift-off to deceleration. I
can induce it fairly regularly. Not loud, not in your face....but you can hear it
burble a bit. I believe the Greddy would not be the culprit because otherwise,
my car runs like an ape chasing bananas without the aforementioned hesitation like Joe's (fellow
SoFlo S2000 member....bullet1123). He had his VTEC engagement point
dropped to 5800 whereas I kept mine at 6100 which seemed to be the point
where the car was most happy. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with
things but then again, below VTEC (if I am to understand things), the E Manage is completely
out of the loop (so to speak). Not sure if that is right or not; maybe I'm
confused in that regard. My car runs fine 'cept for that little burble when I'm
coming up on a stop light or decelerating for whatever reason. Sounds kinda
mean actually but I'm not so sure it's a good mean. I think (didn't get a chance
today) I will return to SFP and ask for the Iridium plugs instead. I have to
believe if my car is running fine everywhere else, it would be the plugs causing
the minute little backfiring. Anyone?
