Default heres a stumper I've been trying to figure out

I began having a grinding noise about 6 months ago. It only happens while turning left ( loading the right side) and only happens when there is some throttle. I can make a sharp left turn with nor gas and it won't happen. I have an inline pro turbo but it has nothing to do with that at all. I have checked double checked and triple checked everything and nothing is grinding anywhere. As loud as this gets it would leave a mark somewhere. Recently I have been seeing some metal shavings coming from somwhere on the passenger side of the engine bay somewhere infront of where the oil filter was at. Its coating alot of little things but is obviously coming from the front as they are only coating the front of some lines and parts. I am stumped and don't know where to start to try and find this anymore???
I recently changed the right side motor mount but it was fine when I pulled it out so that wasn't it??
Any ideas???

Do you think the sound is coming from the front or the back.

Do you think the metal shavings are from the grind or something else.

Its coming from in front of the passenger side footwell. its throttle and load dependent. Meaning if I'm on the throttle hard and turning hard its louder and more constant whereas if I'm lightly on the throttle and making a light turn it may only hit once or twice. It also happens when not making a turn and just hard on the accelerator in 1st and 2nd gear.

you should get your car on a lift to get a good look underneath. Its a much better view of all the suspension components and brakes....exaust.....heatshields.......since you can't see any rubbing from up top.

Brakes.....

I had the same sound and issue. They may look like they are good but take the calipers off and you may find you are metal to metal.

^ I guess that may explain why my brake light has been on constantly. It didn't come on until after I replaced my HG and I though it was something to do with that. To many coincidences. I will check that out.

Do you have aftermarket wheels? If so check the clearance between the inside of the wheel and the brake caliper, you might be hitting slightly. If you take out the wheel you will see scrape marks on the inside.
