helpHelp! My S Won't Start
#11
I had this happen to me when I was changing the spark plugs. I sprayed throttle bottle cleaner into the throttle body and the IAC liberally. Car wouldn't start. Tried everything and I thought I had flooded it by giving it gas when I was trying to start it. But I removed the spark plug and didnt see fuel.
What I did may or may not work. I just took the intake off and let the throttle body breathe a little and hopefully the cleaner evaporated. I tried again in 30 mins an it started up, barely. Like stuttering but then after that it was good.
It's weird cause yours was for a few days but maybe let the throttle body and IAC air out entirely.

I think the cheapest thing to do would be to remove the iacv and clean it. I can't comment on the wiring/ohm's etc... As in not sure what they're supposed to read. If your chasing down a "stumble/stall when coming to a stop problem" then a proper iacv cleaning should be a first step anyways.
If you're sure that the wiring is not checking out, you might want to go ahead and buy a new one.

My S started the other day. Check engine light came on and it says the iacv is malfunctioning. :/ I got a new one but I'll see if it goes away if I clean it a little.
