I guess the Robinair Recovery station I use daily that can charge through the high side is lying to me. I never knew........

In 8 years of working on AC systems, I have never heard any instructor describe r134a as a "mix" refrigerant.


Asotropic? I can't even find a definition for that word.

Maybe you're not the expert you would like to be.

It's the correct procedure and common practice to recover all refrigerant in r12 and r134a systems, not top off the system charge. Mixing the 2 refrigerants is a Huge No-No.
