Default Help trouble shoot some mechanical noises!

I have a click, and the last time i had a click it cost me 1200 bucks to fix.

Its a constant click but only audible between 500 and 2000 rpm.

When the car is stopped and idling it's pretty obvious. However it doesn't make the noise when its in gear and moving.

It also doesn't make noise when it's coasting in neutral. When you come to a stop it starts up again.

Best I can tell the noise is coming from the tranny but it kind of echos all around in my car, may be the engine.

Just started yesterday, can anyone help?

Take it to a shop. Fixing a noise over the internet is close to impossible. I can guess at any # of things it might be, since I can't hear the tick from Idaho, guessing is the only thing I'd be doing.
