help: Tranny and Differential change
hey, sorry about the newb question but please help a brother out!
I know a trustworthy honda dealer to perform the task but was wondering about the following questions:
1. At what mileage should the tansmission and differential fluid be changed?
2. What is a good fluid to use for each. Something common that works very well.
3. How much (quarts) of each do i need to buy/put into the car?
Thanks, i tried to search but couldnt find the answers i needed.

I just changed the oil, transmission, and differential at 5,000. I didn't want to wait for the recommended 7,500 change. Glad I did - she's running much smoother now.
Used Redline MT 90 ( 2 qts.) and Redline 75W90 Gear Oil ( 1 qt) for differ. They cost $7 per qt.
Do a search for " XVIPER". He has got the best ever DIY instructions with photos for the above changes and much, much more !

It is a little less than one qt for the differential and a little less than 2 quarts for the transmission. I used Mobil 1 for the differential and OEM honda manual transmission fluid for the transmission.
