Default help suspension problem

i i have my car sittin on 18in rims and thought to lower it with the eibach pro kit they are springs that fit over the stock shock and are supose to lower hieght and not strain the suspension well 4 days later something seemed to either come loose or break on my driver side front suspension now i can hear a loud tapping and feel an even worse constant bump and as i speed up the bump increases i pulled my wheel off and everything seemed to look ok i know something isnt right tho just not sure what it is has anyone had this problem after lowering their car? also a unique feature is that when i hit my brakes it pretty much stops the clanking and bumping at slow speeds

Go back and re-torque. Also, did you compress the suspension when you torqued everything down the first time?

And...add some periods in your post before someone makes fun.

ya i pre-loaded the suspension before i torqued everything. i dont think its anything that needs to be tightend but its worth a shot. the shocks and springs show no problems nor does the tire or rim.

you can't be too sure or too safe, check again.

are you using the stock damper from a og year 2000? that's about ten years old and YES damper/shock are wear item, even external reservoir sach

good luck, also check the sway bar endlinks, those plastic thingie are know for cracking, i broke a set on track and another set by installing something.

Wow...that could have been catastrophe. Glad you found it before the wheel flew off.

That's why only one person should be totally in charge of torquing wheels when working on a vehicle. Also, before the car leaves the garage, go around with the torque wrench and check every single lug nut on that car, irrelevant of whether it was removed or not. Consider this a learning lesson.. glad it turned out ok
