twohoo, i think the shops i took this to just bled in the conventional order. but yeah, when i do this today, i'll certainly follow the fsm (the order you gave). thanks.

maybe the brake lines were damaged by excessive heat ?, just a guess. Putting GT Motoring's stainless brake lines made a big difference on my car and my car isn't driven very hard. Cheap upgrade if it works, then keep bleeding after the install to get as much air out as possible.

update....

first unbolted all the calipers and bled in oem order, with nipple straight up as spitfire suggested. used pressurized m.c. bleeder at 15psi. tapped with hammer as while bleeding. after finishing, went back over and bolted back down all the calipers and repeated.

i think i might have seen one bubble on one caliper, but mostly clean.

went for a drive and feels just about the same.

oh wells, i dunno. maybe it's just supposed to be this way and i didn't notice until i actually boiled the fluid. my evo definitely is much harder, but then again those calipers are fixed, not floating. dunno.

well, doesn't seem like there's air, and there's enough force to activate abs, so the car can still stop as hard as possible. guess i'll be running streets of willow tomorrow--see you guys there!

did you re-use the brake pads from the first track event ?, if so might want to check them as they may be glazed. If they have a shiny appearance take them off and run them over some sandpaper on a flat surface to get any glazing off of them and return them to a dull finish.
