Default Help please with Ballast/HID problem (Video clip included)

my driver side HID started acting up last night.. dont think its the bulb problem as bulb would turn pink before getting fried..

i included a video clip to show what happens. When you turn the light switch on, the HID badly flickers and the DRL/Highbeam bulb slowly starts going on brighter and brighter and both shuts off (wtf?). Obviously the highbeam switch is off, and i disabled my DRL so i dont really know what the deal is..

passenger side hid lights up perfectly fine, although the highbeam/drl bulb lights up slowly and turns off when igniting like the driver side headlight... as far as i know this is not normal...? (you can see it in the vid)

possibly a fried ballast? or loose connection with the harness/wires?
if i need a new ballast, i might just get a set of ap2 headlights with ballasts and bulbs since the passenger side will probably go out anytime soon as well.. i really hope not though, dont want to spend money right now

What color temp bulb are you using? Put back on the oem bulbs and check around and make sure all the connections are good and see what happens.

Wait so the High beam bulb is just coming on without you hitting the high beam switch?

Check out Modifry's page at http://www.modifry.com/freebies/old/zenon/index.htm cause your issue sounds very similar to his article about the S2000's "funny fuses"

That color is too blue to be original bulb.

defently its not the ballast, if it was there would not be any light, obviously its not a fuse either if it was then both headlights would be doing the same thing, it can either be a loose connection or most defenetly just the light bulb done, in case it is the light bulb no need to worry you can buy 2 bulbs for 20 bucks of js2k.com but its going to be more blueish(6k) but its still as bright, i actually like it better.goodluck
