Default Help please!

Alright guys I need help! I've never had any problem with my s but tonight it started acting up. I'm in ohio and it's cold so I started it up and let it warm up. Everything was fine. It's raining out though I don't think that had anything to do with it. I drove down the street stopping at two stop signs and still no problem. I then came to a stop light, it turned green and I hit the gas just normal and it sputtered. Then I noticed it sounded rough and the check engine light came on. I immediately stopped and jumped out to check under the hood. Everything was fine, no oil anywhere. Sensors all plugged in fine. I'm stumped as to what's wrong. It idles rough almost like a misfire but holds steady right at 1000rpm it smells rich though as if it has too much fuel suddenly. This car is daily driven and I don't drive like an idiot. Any ideas? I know to scan it but the shops are closed and I need the car back up and running ASAP!

Sometimes bad gas with water in it will do that...NOT saying that's what it is.Check the EZ stuff first.

With no cel code, there is not much we can do. Most auto parts stores will scan a code for free.

One thing it could be, gas cap. Take it off, make sure it goes back on properly.

Without knowing the cel... One thing you can do is unplug the coil packs one by one. If you unplug one and the rough idle doesnt change then you know its an issue with the coil or spark plug itself.

I come to this suggestion by the smell of fuel/running rich and rough idle. With one bad cylinder it may still run just not well. Hard to diagnose an issue over the internet.. Good luck.

You can try the paperclip method to read the CEL code by shorting Pins 4 & 9 in the OBD connector. If you search you'll find a few posts here on s2ki.

All the auto parts stores are open on Sundays. They will scan your code for free. Did you know what the code is now? You could have lost a coil pack, a spark plug, an injector... the code should tell you what cylinder but you can use the unplug-each-coilpack method mentioned above to determine which one it is.
