Thanks to all who are reading this....

My '03 has a nasty (and very annoying) noise and vibration when cruising or slowing starting about 45ish and goes away at exactly 60 mph. But it is, for the most part, only noticable in 6th gear.

Could I be low on tranny or diff fluid? Alignment? Could warped rotors do this, I have noticed some pulsating when brakeing.

I have the car on jacks now but can't get the darn fill bolt off of the transaxle to check the fluid level.

I have 21500 mi on the S2000, I have already had a shop check the wheels and tires and they are all true. I do have Pirelli snow sports though. They work well, but boy are they loud.

I've kept reading through searches and came across a post describing similar symptoms.

The author suggested that a CV joint may have gone bad.

I've scheduled an appt at my closest dealer, any thoughts?

I wouldn't change up to 6th until about 60mph anyway. Not sure the engine would be too happy at 45mph in such a high gear.

I find that above 2500 RPM the engine doesn't seem to mind at all. At 60 MPH, the engine is spining somewhere around 3700 in sixth (I think?).

But I definately hear the noise when descelerating, even when in neutral.
