Maybe your running rich? Burning oil? Have you done a compression check?

Exhaust from a rich air/fuel mixture will be black. Smoke from burning oil has a blueish tint to it. I believe white smoke usually indicates that coolant is getting into the intake path and it is *normally* caused by a leaking head gasket.

Since your boost controller wasn't working, could you have possibly over-boosted and blown out your head gasket in one spot?

you usually will smoke between shifts if your map sensor is seeing boost. look at your check valves or missing link, i suggest using a missing link if you dont have one already

i know this aint no porsche, but when i follow my bros porsche turbo, everytime he shifts it shoots a big cloud of black smoke, his is highly modified with K-29 turbo and a big intercooler and no cat, header exhaust, but alot of smoke on shifts is fine i think its prolly just your waste gate.

If it's white smoke that doesn't smelly funny, the only thing it can be is coolant getting into the combustion chamber.

well we all know what coolant smells like and i'ts deff not that.! we ran a compression check/leak down test last night and they all were verry close to 225 in each cyl! so i'm not leaking anywhere? we haven't tried the map sensor think i know we had to replace an o ring in our missing link with a "close " one so mabey a little is getting by...we're gonna hook up the "in " on our Vafc to watch what its' reading...thank everyone for their ideas!

ok, dumb question, but don't the s2000s run a little rich anyway. I've noticed mine is a little smokey, but so are many of the others I've seen. Maybe I'm wrong...
