Straight pipe it! The S2000 runs much better with no cat!

1) On-topic, I replaced the stripped bolts on my cat myself - just pounded them out and pounded new ones back in. (Got them from Honda, since they're a specific shape and I wasn't sure any other place would have them)

2) Off-topic, Ferrell's duno charts in this post https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...T&f=1&t=228914 show a 5 to 10 hp gain on the top end by going to a straight pipe.

Seeing that the header was installed, then the test pipe, I don't think you can call that an accurate test of the test pipe alone.

Every other NA application of a test pipe has shown minimal gains.

Hardly the "S2000 runs much better with no cat"

Almost all show losses in the low range.

We've turbo charged the S2000 and found the stock cat is a very good high flow unit. We've seen only 1 psi of back pressure.

I have not run a test pipe but find it pointless when the back pressures show that the system will not gain much. Other than weight advantage and probably in race conditions, I can't see a reason to tamper with it. Gone are the old days of brick cats that weighed so much and detriorated quickly, clogging the exhaust. These new metallic cats are phenomenal. You can read more about them on Emitec's website.

cheers
