Help. My 6th gear doesnt work!?
#11
When I used to drive my friend's RSX-S, his 6th gear sometimes wouldn't go in. So what I would do was that when I pressed the clutch to go from 5th to 6th and it would get stuck, I would keep tapping the gas pedal (to keep the revs up around what it should be at 6th gear) with the clutch pressed, making many attempts at 6th gear and it would go in after maybe 2 or 3 attempts. I also do it in my dad's Pick-Up truck for 5th gear and it never fails me.

If it is cold out, sometimes my 6 gear can be a little tricky until the tranny warms up. Usually there is some resistance going into 6 when it is cold. Usually a double-clutch will elminate the issue until the car is warm.

Usually once my car is upto 3 bars if its in the 40 or 30s outside the stiffness goes away.....
If it made a bad sound and you really had to force it, im guessing its your syncros.
