Problem appears solved!
Seems as though the kids that owned the car for some reason installed an aftermarket fuel pump. The dealership inspected the wiring from end to end, installed a factory pump, and it has yet to die on me. Hooray!
btw, they installed a full blown 340-2 pump. Looks like this was for a turbo installation that never occurred.
can't really explain it 100%, but seems to be solved.
looking to get the car more stock anyways.

Great! Hope that was all it was! It certainly sounded like a fuel pump going bad, but odd that it had a newer pump and that was the issue. I dont really know a lot about the quality of those aftermarket pumps though. But, if it is fixed, that is good and you can just enjoy your s2k now
