HELP - Misfire problem
Hey guys, so i went to autozone today and had them check the cel, the code for misfire in cylinders 1, 2 and a random misfire was also in there. There was quiet a bit of reason it could be and im wondering if you guys can help me figure it out to help me fix it. The weird thing is it drives good the only problem is after i put a full indivia exhaust on with test pipe, it idles weird and sometimes a little low, but nothing too major but i read that can happen when you put a test pipe on. Anyways, any help on how can i fix or narrow down the misfire problems?

I think you have some bent valves. But first do a valve adjustment, a compression test, change your spark plug, change your coils if you can afford it and clean your fuel injectors. If the problem still persists then you have valve problem. Have you ever even slightly miss-shifted? Test pipes and exhausts have nothing to do with miss fire. Good luck

a valve adjustment job typically costs anywhere between $70-$150 depending on the shop and how they charge, it's pretty easy job and it can be done at almost any shop. But I would recommand you find a good mechanic who knows about Honda's. If you over-rev the car a few times you will end up with some bent valves, for example when you downshift into a wrong gear. when the valves get bent the motor loses compression overtime and therefore there is no complete combustion, so you get a miss fire code. To fix bent valves requires alot of work and its very costly, anywhere between $600-$1500 depending on the shop. GOOD LUCK
