Help me with my disappearing coolant
Help me with my disappearing coolant. I have to add about a half a quart and bleed it every time I drive it. My engine is a brand new build with Darton sleeves, OEM head gasket, ARP head studs and a milled head all with less than 150 miles on it. I also deleted my heater core. I pressurize my radiator to 20psi and there is no visual leak anywhere. I also pressurized my cylinders individually to 60psi and looked for any bubbles in my radiator or bleed valve. Nothing!!! I also ran the car to operating temp and then immediately took out the spark plugs and put a mirror over each cylinder to check for steam. Nothing!!! I am at a loss here. I would assume it is a head gasket but there is no sign of it being that. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

possibly a hose is seeping coolant, so it holds pressure but it still seeps out. Check the intake manifold area, use your fingers to feel for wetness.

What is the condition of the radiator? Anything blocking the air path?

Any reasons (other than fragmenting responses) to post this question at least twice?
There's probably still significant air in the system. Lots of threads on how to get rid of it.

If you have a non-OEM radiator check and recheck that bottom hose. That thing can leak and you will never see it, the OEM hose doesn't secure that great on the bottom to an aftermarket radiator.

^^^ tru-that, it is a weird fit on mine as well, could be categorized as a note caution warning tho. Deffly.
Nice catch never thought of it just because mine is not leaking but I do remember it giving me a hard time.
To the OP tho. This thing is B! To burp, I would think its a lil easier now without heater core tho. But it will still depend on how much you deleted it, like if there's still hoses working there way to, and then being blocked off or if it's literally deleted n blocked straight from where they start to separate from the engine cooling system.
I had a hell of a time n thinking no way n hell it's still had air buy my core was still cold n I was seeing coolant at 217 so kept burping and then finally used the pipe on firewall and got 5 minutes of pressurized air and all was good after that. GL it will work it's way out but it's like no other vehicle I have ever done before lol.
