Default Help Me Identify This Part!

The last guy who had this car before me cut the original line and put a piece of masking tape over the hole. I just want to put it back to stock... can't figure out what it's called and I don't feel like reading 1000 pages in my service manual to find it. I'm in the process of converting my car 100% back to stock.

Should be easy for one of you guys I'm guessing!

You need this part to complete stock air box. that dangling hose connects to that part that looks like plumbing. While your at it get a new PCV valve, what a difference!

Just so I'm not confused, the PCV valve hookup looks like it was left stock (bit further up on the valve cover). I should go ahead and replace it anyways though? I'm not sure if it's ever been replaced so maybe that is a good idea.

Thanks

Seems your piping assy was cut apart (part#3)

you need #3 (pipe, breather)
two of #5 (clamp)
and #7 (hose) to complete it all.

As usual, thank you Billman. Do you think that my performance has suffered at all because of it being disconnected as shown in the picture? I never quite understood he they did that to begin with.

Not hurting anything, just allowing vapors to vent under the hood, leading to the cabin.

Fix it right

Wait, isn't that the fresh air Intake for PCV that is butchered? So it wouldn't let fumes Out (assumming PCV valve is working properly).

The butchered line would normally (if it were still stock) pipe filtered air from stock air filter into crankcase to replace 'dirty' air sent to IM via PCV valve. The way its butchered the fresh air into crankcase is coming in via that mini cone filter.

I agree it should be piped back to stock filtered air if goal is to return to stock (since now it looks so rice), but its not sending fumes someplace they wouldn't go normally.
