Default Help with Maintenance

hey guys, my 02 s2000 car has about 43,000 mileage, what kind of maintenance should i be worried about? i owned it for about 7 months and only done oil changes, and had differential fluid changed and transmision fluid flushed when i first got it. What should i do now to make sure its running good

Change the clutch fluid if that wasn't changed as part of the trans fluid. Also change the brake fluid.

Put some new OEM spark plugs in.

Lube up your weather seals with some Shin Etsu grease. Maybe take the shifter out and regrease the shifter. I'd think about changing the coolant too just to get all new fluids in there.

That's about it I think as far as stuff to worry about.

valve adjustment does wonders. also check to see if your master clutch cylinder might be leaking as it is a common issue.

Your car is 9 years old. If you don't know its maintenance history, I'd flush/refill the cooling system.

i thought the brake and clutch fluid were tied together?

i recently took my S to honda and they did a free inspection of everything. everything came back great which was really good piece of mind. maybe consider having that done.

correct what ever they say needs to be corrected, then do your own inspection and maintenance.

check your drive belt for fraying, dryness, cracks, tension...
check your radiator lines, vacuum lines, all lines and hoses in the engine bay pretty much
replace your dust filter
replace your PCV
flush your coolant
flush your brake fluid/clutch fluid
check your suspension, make sure everything is tight and you dont have leaks
check your tie rods and brake hoses

DO A VALVE ADJUSTMENT
i just did mine in my 04 with 50k. every single valve needed adjustment. not much, but they were all off a little bit. the car sounds and feels much better. the job is easy to do and you can inspect everything while your in there to make sure you dont have a cracked valve retainer or something. this simple job could save you tons of money and headache later, and will make you feel much more comfortable and worry free.
