help with intake question AEM V2 or FIPK

I've been a V2 owner for over a year now. The one I have came with a hole and duckbill valve on the bottom to drain out any water that may make its way into the intake tract. Also, I purchased a AEM filter cover. I've driven through heavy rain w/o issue. I dont think there is real danger unless you go through a deep puddle of water at speed. Just be careful.

Also, DONT leave your car parked uncovered when its raining.

The AEM V2 is probably the best cold air intake for the S2000. Dyno proven. I love mine. People love to exaggerate the hydro-lock issue.

Dont forget with the V2, you can change your oil without having to lift up the vehicle.

lol yah i know just saying if the OP does go with AEM to be careful. I also live in Houston which is one of the worst cities for flash floods and standing water.

Paired with an EMS, the CAI(V2) will yeild huge midrange gains over the FIPK.

i was in the same position and ended going with the fipk...never was a fan of cai's

True and I can understand that. I usually use my beater on rainy days but not all have a second car.

its proven that when your car is moving the bay is the same temp as the outside air...only when your stopped is when it sucks, and thats only when its summer
