This DIY is basically the same thing as installing ground control sleeves.

Don't use the OEM dust covers, if you are sticking with the OEM shocks. The will get jammed aroung the threads of the sleeves. I made this mistake once on installing for someone and he had to come back for a fix. Basically I had to do the same job twice. I also recommend setting the perch in the middle of the range of adjustment to begin with. You'll be able to go up or down from there, but it is a good starting point.

Again if you are re-using the OEM shocks you'll need a spring compression tool (Autozone/Kragen) to take the OEM suspension apart safely.

Good luck and plan on half a day, minimum.

1/2 day?!

If you have the proper tools and the knowledge of how to change suspension then plan on 2-3 hours

Yes sure, but if the OP is asking these type of questions then you can be darn sure he is no "pro". I can get it down to less than two hours, but that is considering I've done dozens.

Not everyone is as proficient.

Yeah suspension for the s2k is so so simple...only thing that most people forget to do is 'preload' the suspension before torquing everything back up
